Location

Cronulla is a southern suburb of Sydney and part of the Sutherland shire. Cronulla South Public School is located along Ewos Parade on the southern end of the Cronulla Peninsula. The Esplanade is a short walk from the school and starts at South Cronulla beach and loops along the Cronulla Peninsula.

This walk takes in shady parks with ocean and bay baths. The Bass and Flinders memorial is on the southern tip of the Cronulla Peninsula and makes for a superb lookout over the Port Hacking River across to the Royal National Park. Nearby are local beaches which are famous and popular surfing destinations. Further to the north is the Kurnell peninsula. Part of Kurnell contains 324 hectares known as the Captain Cook landing place, a part of the Botany Bay National Park.

Our school holds its Lapathon at Shelly Beach, Cross Country Carnival at Gunnamatta Bay and its Annual Picnic at Darook which are all within walking distance. The local ferry service takes you across the Port Hacking River to Bundeena and the Royal National Park.

Cronulla South Public School is part of the Port Hacking network of schools, which is part of the Sydney Region of the NSW Department of Education and Training.
