Buddies

Cronulla South Public School has buddy classes as part of the Peer Support and Welfare Policy.  All classes engage in activities with their buddy class which encourage positive relationships.

An important part of the Kindergarten Transitioning Program is the connection the children make with their year 5 buddy. This relationship provides the incoming kindergartens with a link to the school environment and community.

The year 5 buddy's initial responsibility is to assist the kindergarten student in becoming familiar with the school and school practices. As the relationship develops the kindergarten students look forward to spending quality time with their buddies, especially when they share a weekly lunch.
